IELTS Writing Test — Practice Simulator
Computer-based IELTS Writing Test trainer: Task 1 (chart/diagram report, ≥150 words, ~20 min) and Task 2 (essay, ≥250 words, ~40 min), with a single 60-minute overall timer. After submission, your work is graded by an AI examiner — against all 4 official criteria (Task Achievement/Response, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range & Accuracy), with a score for each criterion, an overall Band Score, and specific in-text corrections. Under Settings → AI Integration you can choose a provider: your own OpenRouter key (any model — Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, etc.) or a local claude-server on this machine (no API key needed, uses your Claude Code login).
You should spend about 20 minutes on Task 1 (write at least 150 words) and about 40 minutes on Task 2 (write at least 250 words) — 60 minutes total. Task 2 contributes twice as much as Task 1 to your overall Writing band.
- Task 1 — describe/summarise visual data (chart, graph or diagram)
- Task 2 — write a discursive essay responding to a point of view, argument or problem
Use Settings in the top-right to adjust text size, background colour, and the AI integration. When you submit, your writing is graded automatically by the AI examiner using the provider and model you selected.
